Gifts I Would Wish For If I Didn’t Already Have Them

As the holidays get closer, I have been thinking about things to gift, things I love, and things I would totally wish for if I didn’t already have them. Some of these are things I had on my list forever and finally splurged on or things that were gifted to me last year. In any event, they are tried and true favorites I am grateful to have each time I use them. Plus some bonus items from my assistants!

52 Modern Manners for Kids

This was a family gift last year and it is so helpful for starting conversations and talking about things outside of the moment. Last week was bathroom manners and this week is respecting different learning needs. It gives talking points, examples, and ideas for role play. It stands up by our toaster as a daily reminder!

My favorite bag

If you know me, you know I am not a girlie girl. Just ask my grad school friends. The first day I rolled up in a cut off and basketball shorts (I was going to play after 🙂 ) and a lanyard with my keys. I didn’t do purses. BUT I have slowly warmed to the idea and when I pick one, I make sure I can wear it with everything, it’s built to last, and is classic and timeless. This bag is it and I get asked about it everywhere I go!

Wool socks

You know I spend a lot of time on the farm and I truly believe if you hands and feet are warm, the rest of your body will stay warm. I gifted myself some really good socks and I am so thankful I did.

The BEST crewneck sweatshirt

This has been on my wish list and I finally went for it with a gift card I had. It is the warmest and softest thing I have ever put on my body. I love it so much, I put another color on my wish list for Christmas.

Christmas snack bowls

I can’t help it, I love to make it all festive. These melamine (but look ceramic) snack bowls are sweet and nostalgic and will bring all the cheer. Just love them!

And just for fun, I asked my assistants to share their picks too!

Thymes Frasier Fir Candle

Call me crazy, but I look forward to this scent all year long! Everything about it screams winter and it creates such a fresh, cozy vibe in your home — I promise you won’t be disappointed or find it overpowering. I recently noticed they have an all purpose spray in this scent and will definitely be treating myself to it! With little ones at home, I’ve also been loving this candle warmer . Just place your favorite candle (or even the very bottom of a used-up one) under the warmer, and your whole house will be filled with your favorite aroma — without the risk of little hands near an open flame or forgetting to blow it out.

Photo Printer

For some reason, getting the (what feels like) millions of photos I take on my phone printed for frames, school projects, or photo books always felt like such a task. I got this photo printer last year when my son needed pictures for a school project, and I’ll never go back to printing at the drugstore! It’s Bluetooth-capable, so I can print right from my phone — and the quality is great.
I’ve been thinking about getting a decorative photo box like this to keep out and fill with fun photos from the holidays or even all year round for us to flip through as a family, too!

Coffee Mug

Sometimes I think about my morning coffee in this mug before I even go to bed at night. The size, weight, and adorable design make it a favorite! It would also make such a great hostess gift paired with some local coffee beans — something the hostess can use to unwind the morning after hosting a get-together.

Barefoot Dreams Blanket

I have been buying these blankets for years now, they are not only soft but are insanely warm. I started purchasing them just throws for our couch and now each of my kids have one that started as their newborn blanket and has since grown with them through the years. I have 2 dogs so these blankets get washed at minimum once a week and they are still just as soft as the day I brought them home.

Mayson Gray PJs

It’s hard to find pajamas that are comfortable enough to wear pregnant & not and thats what they are – I wore them all the way through both pregnancies and even brought them with me to the hospital.  The buttons allow me to easily nurse and the length of the gown is perfect. The materials is soft, thick, and stretchy and doesn’t pill even after several washes.

LL Bean Boat & Tote

The indestructible, carry all bag that won’t break the bank and will last for forever and a day! I got this bag with Mary Poppins in mind and boy did it deliver. It has been used through airports, weekend trips, kids toys, etc. and looks just as good as the day I got it. It’s well crafted and holds its shape even when set down.

Garmin Venu Watch

I was looking for something that combined features of my Apple Watch and my Oura ring and after lots of research the Garmin watch was the best of both worlds. It tracks my sleep, cycles, and has several workout options but the kicker is it holds its charge for over a week.
We hope you love these ideas as much as we do!
