As the holidays get closer, I have been thinking about things to gift, things I love, and things I would totally wish for if I didn’t already have them. Some of these are things I had on my list forever and finally splurged on or things that were gifted to me last year. In any event, they are tried and true favorites I am grateful to have each time I use them. Plus some bonus items from my assistants!
52 Modern Manners for Kids
This was a family gift last year and it is so helpful for starting conversations and talking about things outside of the moment. Last week was bathroom manners and this week is respecting different learning needs. It gives talking points, examples, and ideas for role play. It stands up by our toaster as a daily reminder!
My favorite bag
If you know me, you know I am not a girlie girl. Just ask my grad school friends. The first day I rolled up in a cut off and basketball shorts (I was going to play after 🙂 ) and a lanyard with my keys. I didn’t do purses. BUT I have slowly warmed to the idea and when I pick one, I make sure I can wear it with everything, it’s built to last, and is classic and timeless. This bag is it and I get asked about it everywhere I go!
Wool socks
You know I spend a lot of time on the farm and I truly believe if you hands and feet are warm, the rest of your body will stay warm. I gifted myself some really good socks and I am so thankful I did.
The BEST crewneck sweatshirt
This has been on my wish list and I finally went for it with a gift card I had. It is the warmest and softest thing I have ever put on my body. I love it so much, I put another color on my wish list for Christmas.
Christmas snack bowls
I can’t help it, I love to make it all festive. These melamine (but look ceramic) snack bowls are sweet and nostalgic and will bring all the cheer. Just love them!
And just for fun, I asked my assistants to share their picks too!

Coffee Mug
Sometimes I think about my morning coffee in this mug before I even go to bed at night. The size, weight, and adorable design make it a favorite! It would also make such a great hostess gift paired with some local coffee beans — something the hostess can use to unwind the morning after hosting a get-together.

Barefoot Dreams Blanket
I have been buying these blankets for years now, they are not only soft but are insanely warm. I started purchasing them just throws for our couch and now each of my kids have one that started as their newborn blanket and has since grown with them through the years. I have 2 dogs so these blankets get washed at minimum once a week and they are still just as soft as the day I brought them home.
