Vanessa Salgado

Vanessa is a first grade Spanish Immersion teacher within Oak Hills Local School District. She is a native Spanish speaker from Montgomery County, Maryland. Vanessa participated in the Spanish Immersion program as a student and has spent her career as an educator teaching Spanish as a second language. She graduated from Miami University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Since then, she has completed two Master’s Degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Instructional Design.

Vanessa strongly believes in the power of education and bilingualism. She hopes to inspire all students to see themselves as lifelong learners with powerful, growing brains.

In her free time, Vanessa loves reading and exploring the city.
